Low Budget – High Spirit Ganesh Mahotsav in Siliguri This Time [VIDEO]

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 25^th August, 2017: The Puja Season starts in Siliguri with the Ganesh Puja Dholak bangs in the city throughout every pandal of the various Ganesh Puja committees of Siliguri. Siliguri has now established itself as the Ganesh Puja center of North Bengal over the last decade with the increase of Puja committees throughout.

This time the puja budgets have gone down drastically because of the economic downturn due to Hill unrest, Bengal-Bihar Floods and GST uncertainties. However, the enthusiasm remained high as usual. The celebrations were ruled by  Siliguri Bidhan Market Ganesh Puja Committee, Regulated Market Ganesh Puja Committee, Collegepara Ganesh Puja, Kalibari Road Ganesh Puja Committee, Khalpara Ganesh Puja Committee, Fuleshwari Bazar Ganesh Puja Committee, DI Fund Market Ganesh Puja Committee, Ashrampara Ganesh Puja Committee etc. Apart from them, there were many uncounted Domestic Ganesh Pujas held throughout the city. Even Housing societies were also seen to be a part of the Ganesh Mahotsav of Siliguri.
